Oh , May my Soul Commune with Thee

Oh, my soul commune with thee
And find thy holy peace;
From worldly care and pain of fear,
Please bring me sweet release.
Oh, bless me when I worship thee
To keep my heart in tune,
That I may hear thy still small voice,
And Lord, with thee commune.
Enfold me in my quiet hour
And gently guide my mind
To seek thy will, to know thy ways,
And thy sweet Spirit find.
Lord, grant me thy abiding love
And make my turmoil cease.
Oh, may my soul commune with thee
And find thy holy peace.

This is one of our beautiful church hymns

Becky, at Sweet Cottage Dreams, suddenly lost her oldest son, Jordan a few days ago. Encouragement and prayers for this sweet family would be so appreciated. She is a beautiful person who gives so much love to others.
Our love and prayers go out to her and her family during this difficult time...

Oh Beth, I went over there and you could just feel her sweet spirit. What a sad time for their family. It is never easy to hear about anyone losing their child. I will be thinking about them and mention them in our prayers tonight. :)

Oh the poor lady. What an awful and sad thing to happen. It's one of the hardest things to bear.

Beautiful poem.

It's so true. We are truly sisters in spirit if not DNA. I wish Becky knew what we know. Mimi

C -- even if that was my picture of the hands, I would let you use it to your hearts content. I am sorry for your friend's pain and loss. How beautiful this life is that we are given, that even at our most tragic moments, we still can rejoice in the life shared with others and the hope of being together in the eternities. Thank you for your kind words and comments too.

Love, Sarah

I saw this on a blog the other day and went over to offer my condolences. It is so sad, and then I read on another blog that a family with a precious little girl lost her as well. She had been battling cancer. My heart goes out to all of them.

Thanks for this beautiful poem, Beth...

XO,

Sheila

Beth, thank you so much for such a lovely post in honor of our son, Jordan. You are such a sweetheart for doing this for us. We are taking this very hard, however we do have comfort knowing that our son is in Heaven now. Jordan is having the time of his life!!
