Going on a Witch Hunt

Last week I climbed my broom, and went looking for some friendly witches, at a local favorite shopping haunt, Gardner Village.

It didn’t take long before I found some adorable ones out shopping with a hungry werewolf... no less.

Some were stirring some odd concoction in their witch's brew

One desired some privacy while reading the news...;)

and even some

were

playing BALL!

Though all in all, they were  super nice,

You see, we witches are just normal people enjoying the sweet things in life and wanting to have a good time!
Then, I arrived home to see this friendly witch, waiting to greet me on my own front porch.

This witch was the last gift made for me, by my dear friend, Kathy Dixon, who died suddenly four years ago of undiagnosed cancer.

She holds a special meaning for me... full of GREAT memories of fun bewitching times full of laughter with this special lady. I am grateful for sweet friends in my life who have encouraged and helped me want to Do and BE a better person. Kathy was one of those!

I look forward to all the 'darling little pretties' our fun witch will welcome to our home, on this Halloween!

That is if this snow
we

received

  today... melts:-)  It will!

Please visit Susan at A Southern Daydreamer

and see some fun Halloween decor or simply the beauty of the great outdoors! Thanks again Susan:-)

Happy Haunting and Outdoor Wednesday!!!

What a fun halloween post. We don't really celebrate halloween in our country so it is fun to look at all your pictures. And you have already snow. Wow that is early in the season isn't it.
Have a nice day.

Mother Nature can be an evil witch herself sometimes...she dumped stuff when she wasn't supposed to dump it....snow isn't supposed to be there until AFTER Halloween.

I collect witches y'know...LOVED this [some of my collection, I'll have on my Friday post for Show n Tell]

My Outdoor Wednesday is a "Lethal Beauty". Come by and see if you will....

Looks like you were at Witches Night Out. I visited last Friday. It was lots of fun. It's so hard to lose friends when they are so young. Mimi

I'm glad you enjoyed Witches Night at Gardner Village. I also went and thought it was very festive. I think they do the best job of fall decorating around! Let's hope the snow quickly melts and doesn't come back for a while!

What an enchanting walk and precious memories to return home too. It is so wonderful that you can remember your friend and the laughter you shared so fondly.
Let me be honest, I am jealous of the snow. We can't even see it in the winter, much less the autumn! haha

Hope you are having a great week,
Jennifer

As I sit here with the AC on Beth, I cannot believe in my wildest dreams that you have SNOW! It is hot here. Hot. I tell you, HOT.

Looks like you're all ready for the kiddos at your house. I haven't done the first thing and am not going to... BAD Mrs. Magpie.

Listen, one thing I have done is a major project with burlap. You won't believe it, Beth. It's amazing. It wasn't my idea, but I implemented it, and it works great. Come see...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Morning girl!!!! Loved the pics and I bet it was alot of fun....how beautiful the memories you have of your dear friend and I love the witch she made for you.

I can't believe you have snow already!!!! I had my air conditioner on yesterday! lol It can't decide if it is Summer or Fall down here!!!

I hope your father-in-law is doing better...my folks are getting better with each day (getting spoilt too with all this pampering..daddy was saying the blessing the other day over dinner and he ask the Lord to bless me so I could continue to 'wait on them hand and foot!!!!') lol lol Oh don't think I didn't intervene on that afterwards!!!!! lol lol But I am so thankful for all the laughs and precious times we are sharing together right now....and I am also thankful for beautiful friends like you who call my name out to God...you are a treasure dear girl and I love you so! Take care and have a great weekend!

Yikes Beth--snow! My blood has become so thin all these years living here in NC.

Gardners Village looks like a fun place--the kids can get some thrills without being scared to death!

Wow, Beth -- Snow for Halloween! I can't imagine. It was 78 here this morning!

Gardners Village sounds like a fun place. Wish we had something like that for the little ones here.

I'm sorry about your friend, Kathy ... I know you miss her. How nice to have that sweet keepsake to remind you of your happy times with her.

I love Gardner Village. My favorite is Christmas Season but it looks like they do a great job in autumn as well. Maybe we can meet there sometime for a aunty/niece day out!
