We enjoyed a special treat this past weekend and visited our friends at their new cabin which they built themselves, by a beautiful lake. For our ‘Quilt Stash Challenge Friends’ they had a beautiful quilt hanging in their game room which their church members had made for their family following his tenure of being the spiritual leader of their church congregation.
Their family had fond memories of after weekly meetings or activities during the week that many of them would go out to the local Dairy Queen afterwards. Also they sewed fly fishing flies as a memory of past fly fishing trips and to say Thank You, for they felt he was a 'Fisher of Men' as he took care of all of his flock.

Their beautiful 'Memory Quilt' which will bring back memories to their family all their lives.
I took some close up pictures of several of the individual quilt squares. Our friend, Cami said there was either a fun or spiritual story that went with practically each quilt block on the quilt. What a great Thank You gift, for someone whose life has been dedicated to serving others and the Lord.
It was a fun place to hang out this past weekend. I hope you enjoy the pictures! The Lake was gorgeous!

Love the quilt! What a precious treasure of days spent in a special location.The cabin in gorgeous and makes a beautiful background for the blanket! I know your weekend spent there was much enjoyable!
