Our living room is mostly decorated for the reason we celebrate this magical season. The birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his birth... along with lots of family memories:)
Our tree has lots of angels, nativity ornaments and Santa’s.

I love this Noel pillow a friend gave to me... because when I see it, I see my dad’s name. Noel spells my dad’s name backwards...I miss him. He passed away over 20 years ago and the holidays bring sweet and tender memories of him playing his harmonica as we all sang carols on Christmas Eve.
The large gold ornaments are truly a Trash to Treasure and were rescued as they were being thrown away
because their pink finish was all scratched. (Please visit Diane 's beautiful home for more for more Trash to Treasures)
After some paper marché and gold paint ago they took on a whole new look! This gold boxes is one used by our grandchildren who are Wisemen for our Christmas Eve nativity pageant.
Our mantle looked bit scrawny after looking at Kimba’s beauty on her mantle. This green chair is the same one I posted a few weeks ago which was a wedding gift to my same paternal grandmother whose doll adorns my tree.. I love my own grandchildren knowing their loved ones from the past.

One of my 'must haves' is a home not only filled with CHRISTmas music but also with the smells of CHRISTmas! Thanks to Bath & Body works I have it! I enjoy most of their holiday scents. Tonight we are burning Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin oil.
Hope you enjoyed your tour of part of our home. please leave a comment as I would love to hear from each of our visitors and we want to wish you a
very Merry CHRISTmas to you and to your family!

I love the full tree! What precious memories you have gathered there. The doll is just beautiful and definitely a treasured keepsake. I am truly jealous of your winter scenery out of your kitchen window. We have temps in the low 60's this week and rain. Hopefully the cold front will move on through and it'll feel a little more like Christmas! Have a wonderful week!
Hugs my dear friend,

Hi Beth,
Everything looks just beautful! Thank you, you always leave the sweetest comments on my blog.
As for Caty, During the week of Thanksgiving Caty had many tests done and received GREAT reports!
On Wednesday we received a text message that announced "The Doctor looked over the scans and said the tumor is gone! Happy Thanksgiving! “
The Doctor says that she will continue with the scheduled plan of treatments even though the tumor has been killed and the bone is restructuring itself. Apparently this type of cancer (Ewing’s Sarcoma) is known to aggressively return.
Her next session of Chemo treatments begin this Friday - December, 12th.
On Monday - December 15th she added radiation to her treatments.
We are praying that she will be well enough to enjoy Christmas at home and not at the hospital or be banned from family participation due to low counts and immune system.
She continues to be a courageous young warrior and shares her story often to encourage others!
-Amy

I love that you have your grandmothers doll and chair... and your "dad" pillow... the Noel one!
Your home truly shows what is important in your life. Very pretty and inviting. Thanks for sharing about your father and all.
All you need now is about a foot or so of our snow to really make it feel like Christmas! LOL!
What a festive home you have! And the doll, how lucky to carry something so special along in your life. It's good to know Christmas brings back memories of your dad. 20 years goes by in the blink of an eye.
